Under Armour, the brain-child of a former Maryland football player, has been supplying the homestate Terrapins with crazy-futuristic “Pride” uniforms since 2011. On Wednesday, we learned what the latest in the line would look like for Saturday’s “Border Battle” with West Virginia.

The all-red uniforms are a little more understated than in years’ past – although we have not had a look at the helmets yet. The “Pride” title comes from the overall theme of the Maryland state flag, and the pattern is not lost on this year’s alternate look. The distinctive red, white, black and yellow flag patterning is prominent on the outsides of the shoulders and at the tops of the team’s socks. There is also a state flag patch on the front left hip of the pants, and a “Maryland” above the left knee.

The cleats look pretty legit as well, although this is all just a line-art, first look at the gear.

Check back for high-definition updates, as well as for the helmet. We could all be in for a surprise.
