The Miami Hurricanes are back in the game. Following several years of disappointments and a massive scandal, the Canes had taken a backseat to Florida and Florida State in the battle for Sunshine State supremacy.
A huge win over the Gators in Week 2 of the 2013 season changed all that, however. Kept out of a postseason game in each of the last two years, Miami is looking great, both in-state and for a big-time bowl game come December or January.
In order to celebrate the program’s resurgence, the team has put a little reminder of where the star recruits in the state should be headed to play their college ball. A new sticker on the back of each players’ helmet features an outline of Florida with a star denoting the location of Coral Gables. Pretty legit.
Now coach Al Golden and Co. just have to keep winning games.
