The Milwaukee Bucks have officially unveiled what will most likely be the wildest new court design in the NBA for the 2013-14 season.
The organization has removed the “Bucks” lettering from center court and along the baselines behind the hoops. Going instead with just the deer head logo at mid-court and “Milwaukee” on the baselines. The color red has also been removed from the court, now only outlining “Milwaukee.”
None of that is what people are talking about, however. Kindly notice the diamond design around the Bucks’ head. Now, instead of picturing it as a diamond, visualize two giant “M’s,” with the tops meeting at mid-court.
The “M’s” (for Milwaukee, of course) are actually an homage to the Bucks’ old MECCA Court played on from 1977-1988.
For reference, here’s how the Bradley Center floor looked last season.
