If you don’t feel like seeing the gruesomely broken jaw of Edmonton Oilers center Sam Gagner, don’t scroll down.

Vancouver Canucks winger Zack Kassian tried to fly in on Gagner and steal the puck. When Gagner flicked it up the ice, Kassian turned and swung his stick seemingly wildly.

What happened was pretty straightforward, although the result was the opposite of a straight jawline for Gagner. Kassian’s stick landed squarely on Gagner’s mouth, breaking his jaw badly. He is now out indefinitely.

Seriously, don’t scroll down.

It’s bad.

It’s crooked.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you …

For the swing, Kassian has been levied an eight-game suspension. It was a cheap shot – there’s no question about that – and there will definitely be some that would like to see him out as long as Gagner sits.
