The Miami Hurricanes faced off against the Virginia Cavaliers at noon on Saturday in Sun Life Stadium. Judging by the crowd at kickoff, the fans apparently didn’t get the memo. Miami Hurricanes beat writer Matt Porter shared this photo of a nearly empty stadium as the game started.
The Hurricanes were 7-3 entering the game, and improved to 8-3 on the year following the 45-26 win. It’s the best season Miami has had in quite some time, but it still doesn’t seem like enough to get fans to the game.
According to ESPN, the official attendance for Senior Day was 44,732.
