The Virginia Cavaliers football team played its home games in the 21-acre Lambeth Field between 1913 and 1931. During that time, the school and the nation saw football propelled from a backwater game played between generally rough folk, into the more modern version we understand it to be today.

The Cavs took to old Lambeth for a scrimmage recently and watching the squad’s new players embrace the traditions of old was something incredibly unique.

Now it’s just a matter of heading over to Scott Stadium and winning some games during the 2013-14 season.
