A stadium in Sao Paulo, Brazil that was being built for the 2014 World Cup collapsed on Wednesday.
Itaquerao Stadium, which was set to host the World Cup opener, is one of 12 venues that will be used next summer. The east side of the stadium was where the structural failure occurred. A crane appeared to have buckled on the stadium, bringing the structure down in the process.
According to the Associated Press, authorities have confirmed three deaths from the collapse.
The stadium was approximately 94 percent complete at the time, putting it on schedule to be finished by FIFA’s December deadline.
Following are photos of the stadium after the devastation.
