When it comes to the extracurricular activities of athletes — both good and bad — there really is no better source than TMZ, unfortunately (we’re not exactly the biggest fans of their site in general, if you haven’t noticed).

In this case, the site first reported that he of the bloated salary, Alex Rodriguez, has not only managed to sell his Miami mansion, but that he has turned a whopping $15 million profit in the process.

That’s right, the guy who is earning $29 million this year to not play for the Yankees just made another chunk of change bigger than most of us will see in our entire lives. A-Rod originally bought the property for $7.5 million in 2010 and then sunk in another $7.5 million creating his dream home.

And he did: The oceanfront palace boasts nine bedrooms, a whopping 11 full bathrooms (plus two half bathrooms), a 4-car garage, state of the art security system with 16 cameras and a Zen garden.

Was the Zen garden the biggest selling point?
