Do you want to live in the former home of four-time college football national champion Nick Saban?

We thought you did.

Well, do you have $11 million? Yeah, that significantly shrinks the buyer’s pool.

Saban has put his “The Pointe on Lake Burton” mansion up for sale at a list price of $10.9 million. Concierge Auctions will be auctioning off the Clayton, Georgia lakefront estate on June 6 to the highest bidder. For more information visit their website.

Jacques Couret of the Atlanta Business Chronicle provides the details on Saban’s digs:

The 9,600-square-foot estate at 112 Whipporwill Lane in Clayton, Ga., has six-bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The home sits on a 1.7-acre parcel with more than 700 feet of lake frontage and 270-degree mountain, lake and sunset views. It features a massive grand room with 24-foot vaulted ceiling, wine cellar with antique gate from Barcelona, European-style pub/billiards room, home office, formal and professional kitchens, staff quarters and four-car garage.

There’s really only one phrase that does this entire estate and post justice: Roll Tide.

Wow. I’m thinkng back to the great coaches who toiled for the love of the game and the men and children thy taught. Men like Pop Warner, Knute Rockne, VInce Lombardi. Would they have lived the high life even with the money being spent today? It’s difficult imagining a coach having this life style while others cannot even buy toiletries in college.

Don’t be jealous of successful people! I’m not a Bamer fan, but, Saban is the best coach, in college football, right now and he gets what the market pays. When you make the kind of money he makes, you have to keep it away from the govt. Investing in real estate is the most effective way of doing so. Plus, the home is not extravagant, like many expensive homes. I’m sure the coaches you mentioned would be proud to see that coaches have been so successful!

Saban is consolidating! Must be getting ready to retire!
