The Orange and Beachwood police, along with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, had organized a sting that nabbed Groves and 14 other men during a three-day operation.

On April 17, according to the police report, Groves arrived at Room 231 of the Homestead Guest Studios. He had responded to an ad and requested “full service” from an officer posing as a prostitute offering sex for hire, according to records. A price was agreed upon during the call before he arrived.

His court date is May 10.

$195.70 and a box of Magnum condoms were seized as evidence.

Hey, at least he was going to be safe about it, right?

Hey at least he isn’t one of these sports hero’s that is accused of raping someone. They entrapped him.

I for one think it should be legal if it could be taxed. Nothing wrong with a red blooded American man wantin some stick and move.

  • g-money

give me a break. so now you can get arrested for requesting ‘full service?’ did he describe what full service meant to him. now the police have the leeway to assume what that means between two consenting adults? when you let cops start interpreting events as a reason to limit freedoms, you are treading dangerous ground.

So the poor guy needed a release. We all pay for it in one way or another.
    No big deal.

his teammates are going to give him shit about this!

these stings are very close to entrapment IMHO

  • AAASportsMemorabilia

For those that are saying that this is entrapment, you obviously don’t know the definition of entrapment. Either way, it’s a small issue when compared to other athletes who are doing felony crimes.
