Red Hot Chili Peppers to join Bruno Mars at Super Bowl halftime show

This year’s Super Bowl halftime show is shaping up to be a good one. The LA Times is reporting that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Bruno Mars on stage for the performance.

Having seen the Peppers live a few times in the past, I’m pretty excited about this announcement. They always hit the stage with energy and can jam with nearly anyone. Their stage presence will translate well to the bloated Super Bowl production.

As for Mars, I’ve never been a fan of the music, but the guy appears to be supremely talented. If you’re on the fence, check out this skit from his SNL gig.

If you’re still not feeling it, well, there’s always the Puppy Bowl.
