Report: Texas to announce Charlie Strong as head coach on Sunday

By the time this weekend is over, the Texas Longhorns will have a new head coach. Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports reported that, on Sunday, the university will announce Charlie Strong as the successor to Mack Brown.

While CBS, along with Orangebloods.com and ESPN, have reported that Strong will take the position, there has been no comment from the University of Louisville.

If Strong does indeed leave for Austin, Feldman foresees the Cardinals tabbing a top assistant or rising coach at a non-AQ school to replace him.
