In yet another sign that Alabama is better at football than your school, Rotoworld has reported that undrafted free agent safety Robert Lester has earned first-team reps with the Carolina Panthers. Teams were scared away on Draft Day by Lester’s lack of straight-line speed, but underestimating a three-time national champion is generally not the best idea.

As a senior in 2012, Lester finished in a tie for the top spot on the team with four interceptions. He also rounded out his career sixth on the Tide with 48 total tackles.

At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, Lester isn’t messing around. ESPN NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas says it’s “obvious” the Panthers are “very high” on Lester, and he may continue to get first-team reps opposite starting free safety Charles Godfrey.

Like we said, it’s Alabama or bust, baby.
