Roy Hibbert tweets to Jason Collins after saying ‘no homo’ at presser

Following Indiana’s Game 6 win over the Miami Heat, Pacers center Roy Hibbert gave the world a press conference for the ages.

Not only did he call the sports media in attendance “Motherf@#$ers,” but he also said “no homo” while talking about how LeBron was stretching out the team’s defense.

First, the comment at the center of this mini-firestorm:

“I really felt that I let Paul [George] down in terms of having his back, when LeBron was scoring in the post or getting to the paint because he stretched me out so much, no homo,” Hibbert said.

It has since been deleted, but Hibbert tweeted to Jason Collins and expressed a desire to chat about some things. Collins is the first NBA player to come out as openly gay.

The league has yet to announce any punishments or fines, but you can bet Hibbert’s wallet is going to be a little lighter before he takes the floor for a decisive Game 7 in Miami.
