The Texas Rangers drafted Russell Wilson in Major League Baseball’s Rule 5 draft on Thursday. So the star Seattle Seahawks quarterback has that going for him, which is nice.

After word of the draft spread, some high-profile individuals reached out to Wilson. Most notably, Deion Sanders.

Sanders was a dual athlete in the pros, playing football and baseball. However, he never played quarterback, the most difficult position in professional sports.

San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York also thinks Wilson should give baseball a try, if only to give his Niners a clearer path in the NFC West.

For what it’s worth, Wilson batted .229 with 5 HRs, 26 RBI and 19 SB in 93 career minor league games.
