Seattle Seahawks’ 12th Man takes loudest stadium record back from Chiefs

, , , , ,

During Monday night’s primetime showdown between Seattle and New Orleans, the 12th Man came to play. Fans in CenturyLink Field set a new Guinness World Record for noise level, registering 137.6 decibels in the first half.

The Seahawks had set the record earlier in the season, only to have Kansas City fans in Arrowhead Stadium strip it from them in October. The 137.6 decibel level recorded by the 12th Man against New Orleans is 0.03 louder than the Chiefs’ previous mark.

Seattle fans had a lot to cheer for during the first half. Both the offense and defense scored points to give the Seahawks a 27-7 halftime lead.

Real recognizes real, and in this case that means LeBron James recognizes the 12th Man.
