Sports Illustrated’s way-too-early college football top 25 for 2014

With the 2013 college football season in the rearview mirror, it’s time to put some structure around the 2014 season. In an attempt to do so, Sports Illustrated has released a way-too-early college football top 25.

Popular opinion is that Florida State will once again be the team to beat next season. Outside of the Seminoles, however, there have been several teams mentioned for the coveted No. 2-4 spots, which will make the College Football Playoff.

Early on, SI likes Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State to represent in the first playoff, while Oklahoma sits just on the outside at No. 5.
