David Shaw is Stanford’s man. According to The Stanford Daily, Shaw and the university have reached an agreement that will keep Shaw at the helm of the Cardinal for a long time.

The details on the contract extension have yet to be released, however Stanford president John Hennessy had the following to say:

“David Shaw has led the football program to great success. He embodies the goal we have for our scholar-athletes — success in the classroom and on the field. We are pleased that he will lead our football program for years to come.”

In his two years guiding Stanford’s program, Shaw has amassed a 22-4 overall record, two Pac 12 titles and two BCS bowl appearances (Fiesta ’11 and Rose Bowl ’12).
