Sarkisian spent five years at the helm of the Huskies, compiling a 34-29 record and resurrecting the program after a several-year bowl drought.
With the hire, Haden has elected to bring in a young mind, with head coaching experience, who has ties to the program. Sarkisian was on the Trojans’ coaching staff from 2001-03 as the quarterbacks coach, and then from 2005-08. Between 2005-06, he was the quarterbacks coach, and from 2007-08 he held the roles of assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach.
