Would it be a Steve Spurrier vs. Tennessee week without a little trash talk from the Ol’ Ball Coach? We think not.
On Thursday, we got just that when Spurrier commented on his 14th time coaching in Neyland. Spurrier informed the nation that he has coached in Rocky Top “more than some of their head coaches.”
Spurrier: “Will be the 14th time I’ve coached in Neyland Stadium. … I’ve coached there more than some of their head coaches.”

Spurrier has made it a bit of a career to add insult to injury when it comes his opponents, especially Tennessee . This was also a likely dig at the recently fired Lane Kiffin – Kiffin spent just one season in Knoxville, coaching seven games at Neyland.
The Vols and Gamecocks kick of on Saturday at noon ET.
