Who knew Steven Spielberg was paying attention to USC football enough to give us such a great zinger?
Following a huge, 35-7 win over Boston College and then a 17-14 “W” over an underrated Utah State team, coach Lane Kiffin and his USC squad sis at 3-1 and seem to have righted the ship for the time being.
However, that one loss stings. The Trojans fell to lowly Washington State in a 10-7 snoozer that featured exactly zero offensive touchdowns on the part of the victorious Cougars. The game served as Wazzou’s first win over USC since 2002, and the first time USC lost its home opener since 1997.
In other words, the game was an unmitigated disaster – just ask the acclaimed director.
Again, who even knew Mr. Spielberg was paying attention?
