Former Auburn linebacker Takeo Spikes made his way back to The Plains for Saturday’s Iron Bowl. Following the miracle return, fans rushed the field in jubilation – but not Spikes.
The 1998 first round draft pick was busy sending Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron a message on the side of the road.
Standing on top of a brick wall on Auburn’s campus, Spikes held a sign that read, “Hey AJ, Tell Katherine To Quit Calling Me!”
Former Auburn offensive tackle Willie Anderson wondered where his buddy Takeo was afterwards, to which Spikes replied, “I was busy.”

Talk about adding insult to injury.
