Dual-threat speedster Trevone Boykin has been thrust into the full-time starter’s role at TCU for the second consecutive season following the loss of Casey Pachall due to a broken arm.
A year ago, Boykin was only a freshman, and deemed not quite ready for the big-time. This year, however, Boykin may be better, but his “look” is still at the amateur level.
On Thursday night, his Horned Frogs lost to Texas Tech, 20-10, in Lubbock. However, that’s not what we here at UniBlog are worried about. As you can see, Boykin was spotted wearing a Kansas State arm sleeve featuring the program’s “Powercat” logo. Compare the area within the yellow circle above to the logos on the K-State helmets below. Yes, the two teams both wear purple and both play in the Big 12, but how did a mixup like this actually come about?
We have no idea, but here’s hoping that as Boykin continues to gain experience under center, he gets his uni-swag situation figured out.
