On Wednesday, Team USA Basketball officially announced the roster of 27 young stars that will be working with Duke’s Coach K (who changed his mind and will continue to lead the team after initially deciding he would step down) in Las Vegas from July 22-25.
This group of players may not be the final list of names to don the Red, White and Blue for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. Further, it may not be the crew who represents the United States in Rio for the 2016 Olympics.
But what it is is an excellent jumping-off point.
