It’s officially “Tebow Time” again in college football. On Monday, it was announced that the SEC Network, set to launch in August 2014, has hired Tim Tebow as an analyst for its show “SEC Nation.”
“I am so excited that ESPN has given me this incredible opportunity,” said Tebow. “When I was six years old I fell in love with the game of football, and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC.”
ESPN senior vice president of programming for college networks Justin Connolly is excited for the opportunity to have an SEC legend as part of the team.
“Tim is a SEC icon with a national fan base and broad appeal. He will be a significant contributor to the compelling content we will deliver with the SEC Network,” said Justin Connolly. “Tim brings a wealth of knowledge about the game, the conference and the passion among SEC fans.”
“SEC Nation” will make its debut on August 28, 2014 from Columbia, S.C., and will air each Saturday from an on-campus location. ESPN commentator Joe Tessitore has signed on as the show’s host.
Tebow, who has signed a multi-year agreement, will also make appearances on a number of other ESPN productions as well.
