Alabama has reportedly suspended T.J. Yeldon for the first quarter of the Crimson Tide’s Saturday game against Colorado State in Tuscaloosa. Yeldon is being sat down for his throat slash taunt in last week’s Texas A&M game.

The suspension isn’t the end of the world for ‘Bama, though. As AP writer Raph Russo points out, Yeldon’s absence will give Alabama a chance to determine their official backup running back.

These days Alabama doesn’t have bad news. Just less-than-good news.
