Video: Travis Outlaw ejected for clotheslining J.J. Redick

Sacramento Kings small forward Travis Outlaw was ejected after clotheslining Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick. The play happened in the fourth quarter of a one-point game.

With his team down 78-79, Clippers guard Jamal Crawford started a fast break and then dished to Redick. After receiving the ball Redick elevated for a layup deep in the paint. From a trailing position, in an effort to break up the play, the Kings’ Outlaw grabbed Redick’s shoulder from behind and pulled him to the ground.

Travis Outlaw received a “Flagrant 2” foul on the play, and was subsequently ejected from the game.

The play is reminiscent of the infamous clothesline of Kurt Rambis by Kevin McHale.
