On Wednesday, the Indianapolis Colts and owner Jim Irsay made waves when they announced that they had acquired former No. 3-overall draft pick Trent Richardson from the Cleveland Browns.

Browns fans, in a sense, probably weren’t too shocked to hear the news. Richardson, on the other hand, couldn’t have been more surprised.

“One of my friends called me he was like ‘You got traded.’ I was like ‘Man, shut up talking to me get off my phone,’” he said, via NewsNet5.com. “I turned on the radio and all of a sudden I heard Cleveland Browns running back has been traded.”

“It just hit me in my face,” he said. “I didn’t see it coming.”

Of course one of the Browns’ budding stars learned of his trade via the radio. Would you expect anything less from this franchise?

Despite being traded and learning of the decision over the radio, Richardson continued to show the class that he always has.
