The Wichita State Shockers absolutely shocked the world on Saturday night — and yes, we will all be hearing more “shocker” puns than any of us were ever prepared for now that this squad is in the Final Four.

Everyone and their mother figured Ohio State’s path to the the final rounds was easier than anyone else’s in the Tournament — but no one was giving the team that knocked off No. 1-seed Gonzaga any credit.

There was a reason why WSU was able to do what it did, and that reason is talent. Against Ohio State, the Shockers showed off the type of speed and tenacious defensive effort that turns a group of young men into a team of champions.
