Report: Florida OL Tyler Moore breaks arm in scooter accident

The Florida Gators continue to suffer through one of the most snake-bitten seasons in recent memory. Tyler Moore, who was in his first season in Gainesville after transferring from Nebraska, reportedly suffered a broken arm in a scooter accident on Tuesday. The injury will sideline him for the remainder of the year.

Moore’s injury means the Gators will be starting their third left tackle in the last four weeks. Season-opening starter D.J. Humphries suffered a sprained MCL on Oct. 30 that will keep him out 2-4 weeks (from the date the injury was suffered). Moore entered the starting rotation after right tackle Chaz Green suffered a torn labrum and was lost for the season. Moore was then replaced by Trenton Brown on the right, but was called upon again when Humphries went down.

Left guard Max Garcia will likely move to the vacated spot to protect Tyler Murphy’s blindside, while Kyle Koehne could slide into the left guard position.

Hopefully, for Florida’s sake, we won’t have to report any more injuries this season.
