UConn’s athletic site also doesn’t know who’s in the AAC

AAC logo 4In the whirlwind following Division I conference realignment it’s become difficult for fans to keep track of which teams have landed in which conference. Apparently it’s also been difficult for the schools.

On Monday, the first official day of the newly created American Athletic Conference, the University of Connecticut web site displayed several wrong teams in its new conference. Navy, East Carolina and Tulane were included on a display of logos from teams in the AAC, though those schools are not currently in the conference. Current AAC member UCF was left out in UConn’s list of teams in the new conference.

So if you feel confused about new conference affiliation don’t feel bad. The schools don’t know who they’re playing either.
