Did you think they did everything bigger in Texas? UNLV is looking to become one of the premier members of the bigger, better Mountain West conference, and the school is prepared to put together the world's most iconic stadium to make it happen.

The 60,000-seat stadium proposal will feature a world-record 100-yard long video screen, or 40 yards longer than the current one found in Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.

Dubbed 'UNLV Now', the project will be fully enclosed, and feature two clubs, six 300-seat VIP suites, and more than 50 conventional suites seating 10-to-24 guests. Eighty percent of the seats will be able to see the screen, and four more in each corner of the stadium are also planned.

Beyond UNLV football games, 15 mega-events held annually (NFL preseason games, massive concerts, Mountain West championship game, an international soccer friendly, boxing or UFC title bouts, etc.) would bring an estimated $393.2 million in direct spending to the city of Las Vegas annually.

Thus far, the cost of the planned stadium has been listed at roughly $800 million.
