The 2013 meeting between the USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish marks the 85th time the two hated rivals have squared off on the field.
Digging deep into the history books, this photo captures the first ever road win for the Trojans. It wasn’t until 1931, six years into the series, that USC was able to knock off Notre Dame in South Bend. The win came in the form of a 31-yard field goal by Johnny Baker with one minute left.
Notre Dame currently holds a 44-34-5 lead in the series. The Irish won last year’s game 22-13 in Los Angeles.
