Vanderbilt beats Tennessee with fake jump pass

The Vanderbilt Commodores proved, for the second year in a row, to be the top team in Tennessee. In 2012 Vandy defeated the Volunteers in commanding fashion; in 2013 the win was more dramatic.

With 21 seconds on the clock and his team down by three, dual-threat quarterback Patton Robinette took the snap at the Tennessee five yard line. The freshman ran forward, faked a jump pass, and after fooling Tennessee’s defense, sprinted into the end zone. Vandy won the game 14-10.

Long the doormat of the SEC East, the Commodores have beaten traditional powerhouses Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all in the same season.
