Despite a disappointing 2013 season, Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray knew he still had a lot to play for – on both a personal and team level.
On Saturday, he accomplished one of those individual goals. During the second quarter of the Dawgs’ home game against Appalachian State, Murray found Michael Bennett for a 23-yard touchdown pass.
The score served as Murray’s 115th career touchdown throw, passing former Florida superstar Danny Wuerffel for the most in SEC history.
That’s a nice way to spend Homecoming in Athens, if we do say so ourselves.
