Adrian Peterson came up nine yards short of Eric Dickerson’s all-time single season rushing record during the 2012-13 season. This was after he made what was practically a miraculous comeback from a torn ACL suffered towards the end of the 2011 season.

The Minnesota Vikings superstar is obviously feeling really good about himself these days, as well as in his ability to put together something better than a repeat performance in 2013.

He spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Maggie Gray, and told her that he is not gunning 2,000 yards next year, but rather a world-destroying 2,500 rushing yards.

We’re digging the confidence, A-Pete, and just like the rest of the football universe, we’ll be watching come kickoff this fall.
