Legendary FSU coach Bobby Bowden was back in Doak Campbell for the first time since he retired following the 2009-10 season. He planted the Seminole spear prior to kickoff of the Noles’ game against NC State.
During the third quarter, Bowden hopped into ESPN’s broadcast booth to chat with Chris Spielman and Sean McDonough. Bowden talked about how a lot of college football players grew up without father figures and how college coaches should take on that roll to help mold them into men.
Towards the end of the interview things got awkward when Bowden asked Spielman if his deceased father was still coaching.
