If you’re tired of all the Alex Rodriguez, Bobby Petrino and host of other slimy sports stories, here’s a welcome respite. The following video documents Celeste Corcoran, a Boston Marathon survivor, as she runs for the first time on prosthetic legs.
Corcoran traveled down to Orlando, Fla. to receive prosthetic running blades and sockets. Within two days, the Lowell, Mass. resident was running without any help.
If there is any silver lining in the horrific events of that grim April morning, it’s that tales of courage and perseverance, such as Corcoran’s, sporadically appear and remind us what willpower truly is.
