Of the 32 NFL teams that open the year hoping to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season, 31 will leave their fans disappointed.
However, none have disappointed their fans more over the last couple of decades than the Browns. First, the franchise moved to Baltimore. Then when a team was put back in Cleveland, that team promptly stunk – for years. And years.
On Wednesday, the franchise traded running back Trent Richardson to Indianapolis for a first-round pick in 2014. Richardson rushed for 950 yards as a rookie despite fighting injuries, but that’s apparently not good enough for a team that stinks.
No wonder Ryan Alessio, a longtime Browns fan, really hates the Cleveland Browns.
