Canadian Yuki Tsubota had a scary moment on the mountain in Sochi on Tuesday. Tsubota suffered a painful crash in the first ever women’s freeski slopestyle event.
The fall came on the final of the course’s three jumps. She appeared to not get enough air, impacting the top of the landing hill, which caused her face and knee to violently meet.
She was carted off the mountain and immediately to the hospital, where early word is that she has a broken her jaw.
