Generally speaking, drafting a 7-foot former collegiate star would warrant cheers.  Instead, like nearly everything else the Charlotte franchise has done the past few years, the Bobcat’s choice brought out the boo-birds in droves.

On Thursday night, the Bobcats used the No. 4-overall selection in the 2013 NBA Draft to select Cody Zeller. Crazy tall and a hard worker, the former Indiana Hoosiers All-American can run the floor extremely well for his size and possesses a high basketball IQ.

However, with more hyped players like Nerlens Noel, Ben McLemore and Alex Len still on the board, fans gathered at the teams draft-day party at Time Warner Cable Arena were clearly expecting more.

The Bobcats’ fans reaction after commissioner David Stern announces the pick speaks for itself.
