Hate him, love him, sick and tired over hearing about him, it doesn’t matter: Dwight Howard made his decision. Following the 2012-13 season, the seven-time All-Star was the crown jewel of the unrestricted free agent class. He chose to leave the Los Angeles Lakers in favor of a contract with the Houston Rockets.
On Saturday, the superstar big man was officially introduced to the world as a member of his new team. Former Houston stars Clyde Drexler, Hakeem Olajuwon and Yao Ming were in attendance (see above) and a massive rally was held outside, attended by current forward Chandler Parsons (see below).
Speaking of Parsons, Howard tells the city that Rockets fans should be thanking the former Florida Gators star for reeling Howard in during his introductory press conference.
Hear what else Howard is excited to be getting up to with his new team in the video of his presser below.
