The Boston Celtics may not have Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Doc Rivers anymore, but they’re still sticking it to the Miami Heat. Jeff Green hit a game-winner with .06 left on the game clock to beat the Heat – and in Miami, no less.
Down 108-110, Gerald Wallace was guarded by Chris Andersen as he inbounded the ball for Boston. His first option was covered, so Green delivered a pass to the far corner to Green. Closely trailed by LeBron James, Green caught the ball and immediately launched a shot as he fell out of bounds. The shot went in as time expired.
Without all the star power, Boston still proves to be a thorn in Miami’s side.
