The college football season kicked off in a huge way on Thursday night with thrilling finishes across the country. Fresno State beat Rutgers in overtime, Utah needed a last-second drive to upend Utah State, and two up-and-coming SEC foes needed 59 minutes of gameplay to decide the winner in Nashville.
Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace and his Vandy counterpart, Austyn Carta-Samuels, both shined in various moments. Their receivers, guys such as Donte Moncrief and Laquon Treadwell for the Rebels and Jordan Matthews for the D’ores, all showed off elite ability as well.
However, with a little more than one minute remaining in an evening that had featured several lead changes, it was Rebels running back Jeff Scott who stood tallest – at only 5-foot-7. The senior and Miami native ripped off an insane, 75-yard run for a touchdown that would provide the final margin of victory, 39-35.
This Ole Miss fan’s mind was blown, and white-guy moves were being busted out all over the stands.
Let’s take another look, this time comparing it to the heartbreak for the folks wearing black instead of red.
