Jerry Stackhouse, at 38 years of age, doesn’t get much playing time with Brooklyn these days. However, it looks like the 18-year veteran has been preparing for a post-basketball career for quite some time.

As the Nets opened up their first-round playoff series against the Chicago Bulls, Stackhouse took the mic and belted out the Star Spangled Banner.

Following the tragic week that was, it was a wonderful gesture from a true gentleman in the league.

Plus, he wasn’t half bad.
