Point guard Jrue Holiday was traded during the 2013 offseason from the Philadelphia 76ers to the New Orleans Pelicans. During his first game with his new franchise on Wednesday night, however, he forgot that he was no longer in Philly.
Prior to tipoff, he grabbed the mic in order to welcome the fans to the season, but instead of saying “Pelicans,” he dropped “76ers.”
We are pretty sure the fans let it slide after Holiday put up 24 points in his first outing in Nola. Despite his effort, the Pelicans fell to the Pacers, 95-90.
