Country music superstar Kenny Chesney is performing in Seattle’s CenturyLink Field on Saturday night, and what better way to prepare for a concert than by grinding it out at a Seahawks practice beforehand? Chesney talked with Country Weekly on how the day on the practice field came about.
“I met [Seattle coach] Pete [Carroll] a couple years ago,” Kenny explained. “We kept in touch, and he asked me if I’d like to work out with the team.”
Not even a celebrity could pass on the chance to make that happen. Chesney took part in the wide receiver drills at Seattle’s OTAs, catching passes from quarterback Russell Wilson.
“To feel the intensity of an NFL training camp and out to be out there running those drills . . . you get a sense of how much focus and heart goes into preparing to do what they’re going to do all season,” Kenny said.
