Video: LeBron James chooses 11-year-old’s art for his new Nike t-shirt

Nike recently held a contest for children, ages 5-12, to design the next t-shirt for its LeBron James line. The winning design was selected by the King himself.

An 11-year-old young man by the name Rahul won the contest. His shirt is relatively simple in design, with a good amount of subtext. He quotes the Miami Heat “Welcome Party,” riffed off last year’s “Earned Not Given” shirts, and even drew James’ logo with Nike shoes hidden in it.

With greater focus being paid to the sciences ever year, it’s nice to see Nike and James champion the arts. It’s also a fun way for the game’s best player to interact with his young fans.

  • Adarsh Pinjala

I know him. He lives on my street.

  • No Band Wagon for me

Wonder how much he his going to get paid for his design, I’m sure Lebron will get something from each sale
