If this video doesn’t make you feel for a young man who had already returned from a torn ACL only to suffer another catastrophic knee injury in October against Tennessee, then you don’t have a pulse.
It is the dream of young boys and girls across the world to grow up to be professional athletes, but only a very minimal percentage actually has the chance to make those dreams a reality.
Former South Carolina superstar Marcus Lattimore is one of those very select few. Through hard work and a dedication to his rehab, he proved that he would do literally whatever it took to get himself back to full strength in order to fulfill what he believes to be his destiny as an NFL running back.
The San Francisco 49ers saw that, and because the team is already loaded, coach Jim Harbaugh was able to draft Lattimore in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
He may have to sit out the entire year, but no one among his family cared about any of that during lunch at an Atlanta Benihana.
All they cared about was Marcus, and the opportunity the young man had to finally make his dream come true.
