Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart is a lightning rod for controversy. From his flops, to running in the stands, to his post-game interviews, Smart draws the ire of every fan in the Big 12 not bleeding orange and black. You can now toss in this apparent slap of Wesley Iwundu as fuel to the fire.
Opposing fans may pounce all over this, but for a person with no skin in the game, I love it. The little acts of gamesmanship that play out through a contest – pulling the chair out from under a guy, subtle tugs on a jersey, chipping players running through the paint, etc. – are fun nuances of the sport. Anything to get in another player’s head.
